Church of Religious Science (http://www.religiousscience.org/)

Does anyone know anything about this church? My girlfriend sometimes goes to this church, and they seem ok, as they are not Christian nor fundamentalist in any way. But I was just wondering about people's opinions, good or bad, about this church.

(I hope this is the right forum for this, as I am not usually here)

I've never heard of it. It looks rather New Agey, despite their claim that they aren't New Age. And it looks like a way for its leaders to make some money. That's about it.

Take a look at their FAQs. Notice how many times it's mentioned that their founder "synthesized Truths"? The Truths are all wishy-washy and hard to pin down. About the only thing they offer is that life is eternal, but they skirt the details.

To sum it up, "We'll say some stuff that will make you feel good. Please keep the collection plate moving."

They are or were big in LA. The gospel can be summed up as "Prosperity is your divine right." They counsel people to give them money to tap into the universe, and start the ball rolling towards them getting their money. It's all very money oriented.
