I saw this on Wired News (http://www.wired.com/news/games/0,2101,68401,00.html?tw=wn_tophead_1). I think that this might help people to realize that, like most computer games, the Bible is fiction.

Then again, maybe this won't work for many Christians, who having learnt to accept preposterous nonsense (sorry, that is what it looks like to me) as truth, might have problems distinguishing fiction from reality.

What do you think?

I feel put off by those Xians' smug tone of moral superiority. Look at their own Bible. It contains much of what that they profess to oppose, yet they are proud of it doing so. And consider that some Xian computer games are full of violence, like first-person shooters "The War in Heaven" and "Catechumen", even though they profess to be opposed to violence.

Here are some M&PC threads on Xian computer games:
Christian video games? (http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=100177)
Christian themed video games on the rise? (http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=90868)

Who the hell wants to play as a Christian in a video game? You couldn't kill anyone.

If "xian video games" are anything like "xian rock music", then my vote would be for "Bad".

I call the games "silly" because it just points out the absurdity of trying to make every single aspect of life revolve around Christianity. Are their faiths so fragile that they have to be constantly reminded of their religion?

Not only are they stupid, they're pretty bad games too. Or at least, so sayeth The Register, who reviewed one of them ages back for the fun of it.

Actually, I think lots of Christian games involve plenty of slaughter. :rolling:
