An idiot twitches on the sidewalk: he could not predict that antifreeze is not the soothing lime soda that it resembles, but he saw the TV ad. Limited intelligences narrow the world through simplified interpretations that often result in such "unpredictable" conclusions.
On a hypothetical island, the Crowd surges forward with a morbid demand to have what the wealthier do, much like we give children toy kitchens and firetrucks. They bring in exchange a dubious gift: unreality considered to be real because the limited world of inaccurate symbols is easier to understand than the whole of reality.

Brilliant minds see more of the world; it is true, but then, they only build better toys. The game remains basically the same. What is reality or should I ask, what is the whole of reality? How much detail would this finally be, or does it have no final end?
I say that reality is whatever you and I say it is. What say you?

What difference does it make what he says, since you will decide what it is he says: or will you consult him? But what for, since you will decide what it is he said when you consulted him.

I say you aren't reading this sentence, and thus refute your claim. The law of non-contradiction means your view about reality is logically impossible.

I don't know about "logically impossible" , but it certainly makes one wonder what the point is of his stating his view.

In your post there is a hidden and unacknowledged view of the way things are. You have started of with beings that ARE separate agents, but have provided no reasoning for that assumption. And why should communication make a difference? You seem to be saying that because there is no point to the exercise of communicating, therefore the argument is invalid.
You are not one of these people that go around believing their existence is predicated on profound rationality, are you ? :)

You misunderstand, I meant that reality is determined collectively, you make your contribution as do we all. I was not attempting to say that I personally determine reality for others, although in some cases I do just that. As an extreme example, if I were a mad-man out to make your life hell, then you would probably begin to see reality as mostly hellish. On the other hand, society tends to focus on learning, increasing national wealth and security, etc. We do this collectively, for no individual determines the direction of society or the meaning of life. We thereby determine reality through individual input towards a collective output. Ergo, reality is what you and I say it is.
