Seriously, why hasn't some Bishops or Cardinals endorse the idea that AIDS isn't caused by the HIV virus, but by drug use and other diseases. This, of course, would cast doubt on the well-established fact that AIDS can be transmitted though intercourse. So if the Catholic Church endorses this idea, then they could argue that condoms would have little effect in stopping AIDS in Africa. I'm wondering why this position isn't prevalent among Catholics.

So why isn't AIDS denial prevalent in the Catholic Church?
