I wonder when those clerics will apologize for holding beliefs that Xians may find insulting, like how Jesus Christ was 100% human and how he did not die for anyone's sins, because he didn't die, period -- he was lifted up into Heaven. And how God is not a tripartite entity, how the Trinity is three gods. And how Mohammed was greater than Jesus Christ. And how the Bible has errors in it while the Koran doesn't. Etc. etc. etc.

How enlightening it was to read the whole thing (http://zenit.org/english/visualizza.phtml?sid=94748). The funny thing is, if someone wants the Pope to recant what he really said, then they're basically saying that they want him to go back on saying that religion should not be spread by violence. Someone who stands against Pope Benedict's supposed attempt to bash his religion does a fine job of bashing it himself.

I don't care for the pope, but I find the situation unusual. The claim from many Muslims is that they don't interfere with other religions. You know, ...religion of peace and all. I can't possibly see by their actions [clerics] and through history that this is even remotely true or was ever the case. I think Muslims have this illusion that Islam was just one great idea and everybody decided to get with the program. Islam was spread through violence. Islam today is spread through intimidation and violence. Yes of course some decide out of their volition, but not everyone. I seriously think that Muslims need to look into a mirror. I see demons where Muslims see saints. Most importantly they should but out of the affairs of other religions if they want the same respect due to them.
