Well I just got some fast food from EZ Take Out. Good stuff..

After getting it home I realized it says "Jesus Loves You..." on the paper bag it comes in.

I never noticed this before.. Not that I eat there often..

Have any of you noticed things like this in many places? I don't get why somone would try to use jesus on fast food bags.. As far as I know they dont have any other signs on the store pushing their religion/beliefs..

I'd like to hear everyones thoughts on it. I understand people like to show off their beliefs, but what do they expect out of semi-healthy fast food..

"Jesus loves you" is one of those phrases I've heard/read so many times that it's lost any meaning it might originally have possessed.

Just say a word or phrase over and over and it will become meaningless.

Yea that was kinda what i was thinking.. How much meaning can you really expect form a fast food bag...

The In-N-Outs in California all have 'John 3:16' printed on their cups and bags. It's not really noticeable until someone points it out to you, though.

There was a small gyros place nearby that had really good food. It was sold about a year ago, and the new owner waited on my friend and me. She was wearing a red, white and blue "god bless america" shirt and made some Jesus comments. I did not feel comfortable and have not been back since. My friend and I joked about coming back once a week with "marked" bills (IGWT scratched out).

You need to develop a personal relationship with the bag first.

I have to say I find it quite disturbing that restaurants are promoting religion in this way.

We need to stand up and fight for Separation of Church and Steak.

Sorry.

The Catholic Church was rather fond of the stake.

Well, burning people at it, anyway.

It was always "well done" though

It might even be fun to do a study on how many people have been "saved" because they read and believed their fast food bags.

Hehe yea that would be interesting.. Next thing ya know they will be putting "Jesus Loves You..." on Beer, Cigarettes, and Guns.. :D

I'll have to take a look at that next time I go to In-N-Out..

Are they really trying to say Jesus is like fast food.. It tastes yummy but its no good for you in the long run... :devil3:

All of this strikes me as a good excuse to stop eating fast food period. I mean it's not like it's the healthiest fare around. Although I do have a thing for double-cheeseburgers from DQ and Rally's:cool:

I'm surprised the religious actually fall for businesses using religion to sell stuff. Oldest trick in the book. Oldest.

My boss is a fundy Xtian, and I've noticed that he only hires/does business with Xtians. His lawyer, his accountant, his business partners, his banker, etc are ALL outspoken Xtians. Most of his clients are also Xtians that he knows from church or referrals from Xtian friends.

It's like a special club and they make sure to keep their money in it.

The local Whataburger has "One nation under GOD" painted on the windows... (the god part is underlined and painted a different color)...
