So, I attend a small engineering school, so in general there's more non-religious students.

But I learned something at the chapter meeting this week. At least 75% of my sisters consider themselves atheist or agnostic!

I just thought this was snazzy and wanted to share

If I pretend to be important and intelligent, could I come give a lecture for the sorority? Favorite topics include "Why Atheists Don't Need Pants," and "Lecturers are Quite Possibly the Sexiest Devils Ever." Give me a buzz :p

Calantorntain, you show your location as MO. Are you by chance attending the University of Missouri - Rolla?

If so did I ever miss the boat when I attended...

As base and crude as it is I have to agree that a primarily atheist sorority is...intriguing to say the least.

It sounds like your sorority would be well positioned to do some public service to raise awareness and to promote acceptance of atheists and agnostics. Perhaps talk to your schools radio station about doing a PSA?

Nope, I'm not going to Rolla. I'm from Missouri but I went to school out of state.

What an interesting idea. Any suggestions on how this could be done? Nobody really listens to the school radio station so I suspect this would not be the best venue.

I think it would be fun for the school to bring in a freethinking speaker sometime, perhaps my sorority could support that. Anothing thing I think would be awesome is the "I love female orgasm" speaker people.http://www.sexualityeducation.com/femaleorg/ If I could get the other sororities to support this, and get money from the Student Activities Board, and perhaps the Unity club, and maybe some frats would pitch in :Cheeky: It would be a fun time. A couple of my friends had it at their schools but didn't attend.

I'll bring it up at the next chapter meeting and see how it goes over. Heh.
