This thread has been set up for a formal debate between Jim Lazarus and Brian Bosse who will debate the following question:

"Does God exist?"

Jim Lazarus will affirm the negative position and Brian Bosse will affirm the positive position. The debate will proceed in turns in the following special format, per the parameters (http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showpost.php?p=4394291&postcount=50).

Part I: Introductory arguments

Round 1: Jim Lazarus opens; Brian Bosse opens
Round 2: Jim Lazarus responds; Brian Bosse responds

Part II: Cross-examination (3 statements per round)

Round 3:
- Jim Lazarus submits 3 questions
- Brian Bosse submits 3 answers
- Jim Lazarus submits 3 replies

Round 4:
- Brian Bosse submits 3 questions
- Jim Lazarus submits 3 answers
- Brian Bosse submits 3 replies

Part III: Conclusion

Round 5: Jim Lazarus concludes; Brian Bosse concludes
