That's the old version of the Celebrity Atheists list. I'm asking about the most recent version -- the one maintained as a wiki. I'd contributed several entries to it, and I don't want my work to go to waste.

I'm sure that there are a shitload of other celebrity atheists that just haven't publicly self-identified as such. The first track off of Tom Petty's new album sure has me thinking that he's an atheist.

John Lennon needs to be added to the list.

All existing user accounts (from the old site) should still be active.

Thanks, RayJ. It's good to have CelebAtheists back up and running.

The list has Bill Maher as "Ambiguous" with the last entry from June 2006. But in April 2007, on Scarborough Country, he said he calls himself an apatheist.

Is that ambiguous?

Wikipedia says it's a subset of atheism, as does About.com:

You should get on the wiki and edit it to include this information.

He has specifically denied being an atheist pretty recently, too, though.

Thanx, rayj.

I've added Congressman Pete Stark (http://www.celebatheists.com/index.php?title=Pete_Stark) to the list, though I've listed him as "ambiguous". I don't know if "atheist" would include his self-designation of "nontheist", or whether "agnostic" would be better.

Thanx, rayj. You are welcome!

I've added Congressman Pete Stark (http://www.celebatheists.com/index.php?title=Pete_Stark) to the list, though I've listed him as "ambiguous". I don't know if "atheist" would include his self-designation of "nontheist", or whether "agnostic" would be better. Use your own best judgment as to how to categorize. I think putting Pete Stark in "ambiguous" works fine. Anytime you are not sure, use ambiguous!
