Hi everyone. I just leaned of an upcoming Richard Dawkins interview on Monday May 7, 11pm on CBC tv. The show is called The Hour, hosted by a young guy named George Stroumboulopoulos (quite a mouthful).:) I don't know him that well, I'm only an occasional viewer.
The entire show can be viewed, after it has aired here

George Stroumboulopoulos rocks!! You can expect one of the best Dawkins interviews ever from him. I was a huge fan of that guy since back when I watched Much Music, where he was a VJ for a long time. He was always witty and sharp, with a hip and warm personality. It payed off, too, cause he was noticed by some CBC execs who gave him his own show, the one Dawkins is gonna be on.

From what I've seen myself, Strombo doesn't shy away from taking jabs at the church. Not at all! I actually seem to remember him sneaking quite a few anti-conservative jabs into his shows. I can't freaken wait for this interview.

Richard Dawkins also rocks. A biologist at Oxford, he wrote "The God Delusions", "The Ancestor's Tale" and other books dealing with evolution and the question of a deity's existence. I heard him recently on National Public radio.

Didn't he host that game show, Family Feud?:D

This is the intro from the link I provided in the OP:

"Richard Dawkins is an outspoken atheist, secular humanist, and sceptic.

He thinks church is 'absurd' and has to do more with morals than religion. His recent book, 'The God Delusion,' was prostested and critized by religious leaders the world over.

Now Richard Dawkins is launching a call to arms to fight the incursion of religion into politics and education."

I just saw the interview. I thought it was very well done. Probably one of the better interviews I've seen with Dawkins.

A pretty good interview, in spite of all the stuttering.

I am going to guess George Strombodopolis is of Greek descent. Any last name that rhymes with Acropolis is probably Greek.

Man you are one clueless atheist. Don't you like read and stuff? And not just comics, like news and books? And trying to pass it off as a joke later on. Man that is dishonorable. You have no honor. You are honor-less. And you probably smell. Badly. But at least you know who Richard Dawsons is now.

The interview, which is short, good and worth listening to, can be viewed online above.

Didn't like all the flashy fluff intro stuff and IMO the interviewer is like some punk, like I was watching MTV or something. Anyway that young people get to see and hear Dawkins is a good thing, even though the interview doesn't really appeal to me.

Thanks for posting the link! I thought it was great. But then, I just finished watching (the first half of) the Cameron & Comfort vs. Rational Response Squad "debate," which, compared to this, rather sucked.
