Does anyone here have a list of tax efficiencies for various countries? How much of taxes go towards funding the bureaucratic machine vs. how much goes towards funding public works? Ideally with what it is funding being broken down as well.
I tried googling it, but economics isn't my strong suit.

I doubt there is good data on this. If nothing else, how do you measure how much is actually overhead?
A hires Acme Roads to build a road.
B studies the situation, hires the diggers, buys the gravel, buys the asphalt etc.
Assume the actual cost of the road is the same in both cases--yet B is going to show more bureaucracy expense and less actually spent on the road.
