What kind of society cheapens human life to such an extent that it becomes acceptable to kill people for looking at pornography?

And people wonder why I support Israel.

Life is even cheaper than that in Islamic societies.

If a female relative is even accused of even seeing another man, even in a completely nonsexual way, its okay to kill her.

"Honor" killings are complete crap, though they're just one of many things that piss me off about the barbarism that takes place in Islamic societies.

The torture and execution of people suspected to be homosexuality is another.



While I have a low opinion of religion in general, barbaric religions such as Islam are at the bottom of the barrel, even below Scientology, IMO.

Such religions have always been dangerous, but whatever good they might have done in the past, it's time to get rid of them all. Adults who are convinced that gods, angels and magic exist. People who worship gods and use them as excuses to obey rules that can only be described as barbaric. If we're going to mature as a species, religion must go.

If we're going to mature as a species, religion must go.

I agree... but getting rid of it would require a more oppressive government than the religion itself.... so it looks like we are stuck with it..

If anything.. Islam is getting stronger as politicians fall over themselves to 'understand' muslim resentment.

Israel is not ethnically cleansing Arab populations. They've been under almost continual siege since their founding, and at this point I don't blame them for building a wall for protection. Israel is trying to keep to itself and keep itself safe. Arab nations were the ones that repeatedly tried to wipe Israel off the map.

Israel is not a totalitarian state.

The disgusting 'honour' system in many Muslim societies makes me despair. Israeli society is more moral than this that is an objective fact as far as I can see... and that has nothing to do with the politics of road map/settlements etc.
