OK, with the group of you science types around here. (You've intimidated me so that I don't come to this forum much anymore) I was wondering if the "freethinking", pro science,(real science) people could come up with a new name for Creationism/ID.
ID is an attempt on our adversaries part to spif up creationism which was getting a bad name for itself, even among the general population and media.
If a unified name could be decided on, and enough real scientists started referring to ID with this new name, it could stick and filter out to the media. A suggestion:
Nontestable, faith based, pseudo-scientific sounding gibberish.
But it's too wordy.
Can anyone get the same meaning in a svelt, rolling off the tongue phrase?

UCUAEC
Unstate Creator, Unstated Age, Earth Creationism
(paralleling the YEC/OEC structure)
The best I can come up with at the minute. This doen't roll off the tongue, but does state what I see in that group of creationists.

How about religion, or does that have a bad name also?

Very often it is the non-scientist types who formulate the best asnwers to creationist crap. How about "Invisible Designer".
It implies the somewhat silly notion of an invisible object running through everything micromanaging it all, yet somehow, we can't see it.

By all means use "cretinism". That will impress everyone with the balance and reason of the anti-ID position.

Hm. Lesse........
ID= Ignorance Derived, Internally Demonized, Into (the) Dark, Intellectually De-railed, Incorperated Dingbats, Interesting Delusions, and, oh hell, I dunno, maybe: Distressed Illuminati.

I don't particularly care what they call themselves as long as the word "creationism" is in there, because that's what they are.

How about “anti-explainist”, or “pro-mystifist”.
I’ve found that the problem YEC, OEC, YEID, or OEID, have with the theory of evolution is not the evolution part, it’s the theory part (the explanation). All they are doing is denying that an explanation has been given for the origin of man (or denying that the explanation given is sufficient to explain the origin of man).
Creation of man is the miracle that serves as their proof of God. The problem is that explanations destroy miracles (they can’t help it). Explain the miracle, and you destroy the miracle, destroy the miracle, and you destroy evidence of God.
