The Judge Moore 10 Commandment monument controversy in Alabama is making headlines galore here in the Bible belt of North Carolina. Basically what Judge more has said is "the law exists to be IGNORED". At first, I thought we were dealing with political grandstanding by Moore because the population of Alabama's religious ignoramuses is such a powerful voting bloc. But after this latest Orwellian idiocy, I'm convinced we're dealing with genuine clinical insanity.

Our local television news station has a poll going:

1) Yes, it violates the constitution's ban

2) No, he has a right to keep it there

At 0845 EDT the "2) No, he has a right to keep it there" crowd is in the lead by a 62% to 38% margin.

Let's blast this poll with the constitutionally correct option. It Violates The Constitution's Ban...

Any similar local polls can also be posted here as well. And we'll tackle them also.

Let's make an active show of virtual hands against theocratic oligarchies.

As this thread is a call for atheist activism, I am moving to the CSS & SA forum.

On cnn.com, open to the world, 55% think the 10C belongs.

Foxnews.com has 86% thinking they belong! And that is nationwide.

What is worse is that almost every person who called the radio this morning mentioned that the 10C is the foundation of law in this country.

I'm real curious as to what kind of a statement you could make that sounds agreeable that would have tons of people repeating without every looking into.

Wow... we are really in a minority here in NC. I wish a judge who is originally from India would place a statue of a cow right beside Moore's monument. Then a monument of the Koran. Then a statue of Buddha, etc.

Let's just turn ALL government property into "GOD MUSEUMS".
