If Moses supposedly led the slaves out of Egypt, and was given the ten commandments, then why are the commandments on the depictions of the stone tablets usually numbered with roman numerals? What language did Moses speak?

God speaks all languages. He knew the numerals that the Romans were going to use. This is just his way of letting us know that he knows everything that's going to happen. ;)
(Moses, of course, had know idea what those strange symbols were...but he knew better than to ask.)

The better question is why did moses run away from Egypt in the first place. There were no 10-commandment. Moses kills one of Pharohs men, Moses runs to the desert. Moses gets married and leads the isrealites out of captivity etc. etc.
But why did Moses run after killing the guard? There were no ten commandments so murder couldn't have been wrong.
What, you mean there were laws before the ten commandments? Well then, I guess our laws must be founded on them if they came first and included the same rules. I guess teh ten commandments aren't the foundation of our laws after all.

Why, English, of course. All right-thinking American fundies know that English is God's holy language. The Roman numerals were just God's way grabbing our attention and letting us know that he wanted us to base the entire body of Western law on the ten (or thereabouts) commandments.

Not only did Moses speak ENGLISH, it should also be noted that Jebus was a white man of European descent with sandy blonde hair and BLUE EYES!
Don't believe me?
Just look at any portrait of Jebus in a Baptist church!
