have you ever gone to see a movie that features all the beauty of our planet and lives? maybe its because its non-existent, not in the movies anyway,.. entertainment comes out of violence, degradation, and killing,.. when one chooses entertainment, most people look for the restricted rating, language, violence, murder, and mayham,of course there are always a happy ending, and then again it might end in choas, when that happens you know there are a sequal coming, thus the negative elements are the source of motivation for humans,:D :banghead:

Are you suggesting that this is just the way that all humans are? I know certainly that this is not the case, not so for everyone that is.

I and others I know generally make it a point to avoid movies with gratuitous violence, with gratuitous abuse of language, which glorify murder, which endorse and propagate opressive lies and stereotypes about women and minorities, which glorify domination or submission in sexual relationships, which reduce persons to their sexuality, or which endorse or glorify anarchic or immoral behavior.

Some people find roller coasters exciting. I find amusement park rides to be stressful, irritating, and to induce headaches. There certainly is nothing wrong with amusement park rides, however. Neither is there anything wrong with those who enjoy them.

Similarly, I am willing to accept that for some people, (what I would consider) over the top, cartoonish violence and action is incredibly enjoyable; not because they are not bright people, or less refined people, but because they are the sort of people who -- to create an analogy -- enjoy roller coasters.

At the same time though, I am someone who appreciates some of the older Warner Bros animations; it's sometimes so relaxing to just be childish and reflect upon how simple life might be.

I recall some time ago seeing a report about research which had found physical differences with chemical balances or something of that sort which somehow affected whether people sought out or shied away from extreme excitement.

Is there anything to that, or was it something psuedo-scientific?

'All the beauty of our planet and lives' couldn't possibly be contained in a single movie.

Nonetheless, I wonder what you mean by 'beauty'?

There is a nature program on cable called Microcosmos, that was filmed entirely in a small French meadow.

It is very beautiful, but in a 'natural' way. The film shows insects and other animals going about their lives, and this involves certain animals killing and eating other animals, as well as being killed and eaten in turn.

I find this film extremely beautiful. I've seen several films like this, and I've always found such things beautiful, though there are parts of the film that many might not find 'beautiful' at all.

If it is your initial assertion that everyone or most people enjoys it, then why do you refer to it as the "negative" elements? Negative itself seems like a relative term.

Member Freethinker, I use my own life experiences as fodder for my analogy, I see a world where negative elements are productive gains, War are negative, yet it are the element that makes us the super power on this earth, that a gain,no matter how you analyze it. we have millions of criminals, yet this element keeps another millions employed, illiminate three negative elements, ie, Conflicts,Crime, and bad Health, and two thirds of the economy will go bankrupt, without those negatives, 10's of millions would be obsolete, negative are the primer to economic stability, the movie bussiness biggest blockbusters are because of the negative elements, thats where I get my atatistics, the 'other' individuals you mention are in the very minority, so small they don't rate %age :D
