Over in the "Covering Up Women" thread, a certain NonContradiction has been blaming everything he does not like on those he calls "liberals". It is as if he's reading some sort of Protocols of the Elders of Liberalism, something like the works of Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.

I'm reminded on those who blame all the problems of the world on Jews or Communists or capitalists; instead of blaming Jews or Communists, right-wingers now blame liberals.

I've been following that thread. For one thing, he seems to have the wrong idea about what constitutes "liberalism" in politics--he thinks it means opposition to the establishment, no matter what the establishment is. For another, he fails to recognize the difference between social liberalism and economic liberalism, and doesn't acknowledge that a person can subscribe to one but not the other.

And those are just the honest mistakes.
