Where do debates go when they die? Do they simply vanish?

That would be sad. It would be better, I think, if they are placed somewhere where we can go and remember them and pay our respects.

They are immortal! :) Just like the any other thread at II, they're stored away. Just go to the FDD forum, choose the option from "the beginning" in the listbox and you'll see every formal debate made on II since they started them in 2001.
