I want to debate with someone whether libertarianism is best implemented via a minarchy or an anarcho-capitalist state (meaning condition of course).

Hi meritocrat,
You meant "monarchy," right?
This just needs a little clarity. If I understand you correctly, do wish to debate whether or not laissez faire capitalism works better in a monarchy vs. a democracy?
If I could offer a suggestion, your proposed topic does seem somewhat narrow and you may not get many responses to your challenge. Something more clear cut like a "libertarianism vs. socialism" debate, however, might get more people to pick up your gauntlet.

MINARCHISM
Term coined in 1971 by Samuel Edward Konkin III to substitute for the clumsy phrase, "limited-government Libertarian."
The minarchist position was summarized by Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States, who said, "That government is best which governs least."

Yes, I mean a minimum state as opposed to no government.

Okay, I understand. The problem is that most anarchists I'm aware of are strongly anti-capitalist. Assuming you subscribe to the 'minarchist' view, then you may have a hard time enlisting an opponent. Unless he's from Bartertown from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome or something... :p

Well anarcho-capitalists believe in capitalism and private property.
I know there are some libertarians here so I figure there must be some anarcho-capitalists I can debate with.

There must be SOME anarcho-capitalists here.

I don't think you can get a menaingful debate on these grounds. "minarchism" is at best highly suspect, at worst its a completely empty phrase. It does not actually contain a proposal, merely expresses an aspiration.

The majority of libertarians are minarchists. Perhaps you simply don't understand the meaning of a minarchist government.

I might be just the character you're looking for, merit. What exactly do you propose, format wise?

A standard debate would do.:)
