Just want to extend my thanks to Nightshade for setting up the Formal Debate on The Existence vs. the Non-existence of God: Chris McHugh vs. Ted Drange.

I’m delighted such a quality event has come to IIDB.

It should be really absorbing - with two world-class protagonists, and I bet the related Peanut Gallery in EoG will witness many a Peanut piling up on the floor (and some of those Peanuts might possess the size, shape and qualities of a grenade …).

But to be fair, it was a collaborative/team effort. Silent Dave and Donald Morgan deserve a lot of credit too. And it was the debate proponents themselves who took the iniative in the first place. I'm just the middle man. :)

Once again, I'm sorry for putting up the debate thread up unintentionally too early, leaving the whole IIDB sitting in suspense. Another few weeks and the debate will begin though.

I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming debate. I tend to be a little slow with the fancy philosophical stuff in EoG myself. That darn ADD brain I have... ;) Nevertheless, I look forward to seeing it.

The date thing does not matter really.

I believe it will generate a sound, high quality debate and an animated, worthwhile, long running Peanut Gallery in EoG.
