I don't think this belongs in the Non-Abrahamic religion forum. It should definitely be in Humor or Elsewhere. Preferably Elsewhere.

Don’t you see it’s meant to be ironic. Don’t have a cow. I bet you hate south park too...

Oh Dear.
I'm sorry to disagree with my esteemed (no irony meant I asure you) pagan co-and-non-religionists, but I actually found it funny.
Perhaps I have a base sense of humour, or a very cruel one.
Thanks, YHWH666, I needed that laugh this morning in particular.

thourght it was funny too and highlights a seroius point regarding - how much has chrisitanity stolen its ideals from the pagans?

I like SouthPark, and I didn't think this was funny. SouthPark didn't start being funny until the episodes where Butters replaced Kenny. SouthPark took a while learning it, but the crasser something is, the more sophisticated the irony has to be for it to be funny.
This just barely rises above jokes about committing violence on Barney the Dinosaur. Do you think those jokes are funny?

Anything past the original season of Southpark is worth watching. Actually the episodes get better and better as time goes and they do adress subjects relevant to todays problems.
My favorite is John Edward: The biggest Douche in the Universe
Personally I thought that comic was funny it totally made me laugh.

I read several of the 'Elftor' comics. If the author is trying to be funny, I missed the humour. If he was trying to make a statement, I missed that as well. Like Elftor's son....the comics are gibberish.

Gibberish???? I honestly thing the message in that comic was perfectly clear to anyone. You seem to have been offended by Elftor's brand of humor......
Although I doubt it would be Jesus doing the shooting; more like his followers doing it in his name. ;)

I thought it was funny in a sick kind of way. It's also a nice commentary about how Christianity is not a religion of peace. Sure it's a cheesy, poorly drawn cartoon but it's just too true for the mentality of hardcore xians. Join us or die and minding your own business is not an option.

Me offended? Not at all. I just don't get the humour value. I don't understand what is so funny...or for that matter any point the author may be trying to make....*shrugs indifferently*

I guess some people just don't find violence humorous like others do. I agree gsx1138 in that it was made in a way to show Christianity is not a religion of peace although I am sure it is a drastic misrepresentation, but is still funny in its own way. Also it is supposed to show that the extreme lengths of cruelty Christians will go to despite championing themselves on ideals of kindness and peace.
I guess your not a Southpark fan, because this comic is much like its brand of humor.

I don't see the comparison to SouthPark at all. From what I've seen, all this comic strip does is juxtapose viewpoints that the author doesn't like, with random violence. SouthPark is true satire; there is an actual lampooning of opinions and conventions. I don't see that on this comic.
Although there is violence on SouthPark, the show generally doesn't think it's made a point when it hasn't. Take the fact that Kenny used to die in every episode. Although the end of this running joke coincided with the show getting better, the running joke itself was a good idea. It wasn't satire, and the writers were under no illusion that it was. It was a little bizarre and mean, and that's all there is to it. (As a side note, my real name is Kenny, and I sometimes get jokes about it.) SouthPark also puts Jesus in the situation of being violent, but they don't seem to think that they're making a point. There's not a whole lot of irony involved in Jesus making a bloody raid on Saddam Hussein's palace; it just strikes people as incongruous. But this comic is trying to be satirical, and it falls flat. The essence of satire is exaggeration, and this doesn't feel like an exaggeration of Jesus's personality or teaching.

There is no way Jesus could do that to the pagans. If you look at Christianity it's not his style. He moves in and takes over using the religous symbology and events to his advantage. He wouldn't kill the pagans, simply make them think he embodies what they worship already.
