Jason Gastrich and I have agreed to the following terms for a debate proposal:
(a) Topic: Resolved, the post-resurrection accounts, in all of the gospels, are harmonious and inerrant.
(b) Participants: Dr. Jason Gastrich arguing for the affirmative, Sean McHugh arguing for the negative.
(c) The debate is to concern itself with discussing whether the gospel accounts of the post-resurrection period are in harmony or whether there are contradictions between them.
(d) The debate will last six rounds.
(e) Statements will be made in turns, starting with Jason.
(f) The maximum length of each statement will be 5,000 words. Word counts will include section headers, footnotes and references.
(g) No more than seven days shall pass between statements.
(h) Any quote from outside sources will be permitted so long as copyright is not breached.
(i) The debate will start on January 5th, 2004.
(j) The debate will use the standard format, with no new arguments in the closing statements.
