Hello, I just found out about Rudraksha beads and their alleged powers. Are they commonly worn by Hindus? Anybody had any experience with them?
Thank you.

Rudraksa beads are very often worn by Hindus particularly by the older generation.
It simply does not go with the suit and tie though. ;)

oh we are familiar with rudraksha. but I could not find anything to say about it. I believe the rudraksha fruit is found in parts of the world, though perhaps sanctified only in India. Rudra Aksha means Eye of Shiva. Maybe a dissection of the human brain will reveal spherical knobbly pineal gland for anatomical comparison with the Rudraksha shape.
Actually, in the same vein, I would like to ask people about crystal shivalingas which are said to be found in the Himalayas.

I thought they were symbols representing Shiva.
