Ok - in that case I'll expand on the idea in my own words, to avoid copyright issues.
I'm talking about the line "maybe god let your mom die horribly so as to teach you a lesson".
I find this fascinating. I mean tough luck for mom that she just happened to have a kid who could be made a better person by her own suffering. After all, it's all about me. My salvation, my growth as a person. Let the whole world suffer - even my own mom - provided I got my ticket to heaven. My own sufferring in losing my mom is more significant than moms suffering in dying horribly. It's almost autistic. How could anyone swallow this line while able to view other people as persons, each as worthy and valuable as they themselves?
