"God didn't have sex with Mary..." claim biblically supported?

Title explains it all. Is that claim supported by anything in the bible?

In the Annunciation (Luke 1:26-38), Gabriel specifically says "The Holy Spirit will come upon you."

I imagine you mean physical intercourse, including some kind of penetration, correct? There is nothing in the NT that says that, IMO.

Still, I'm not sure that something can be "biblically supported" by NOT being in the Bible, so I'd say that "God didn't have sex with Mary" isn't biblically supported.

A possible interpretation of the virgin birth is that Yahweh created a sperm in Mary's fallopian tube which fertilized her ovum.

Even so make Yahweh the father of such a child would be pushing it. Did the sperm have any characteristic of Yahweh? Oviously not! Yahweh would not be the father any more than if he created Jesus as an adult.

The whole idea is flawed.

Paul tells us that Jesus got the title of Son of God after his resurrection.
Hebrews 1 says the same thing.

One can conclude that the Gospels writers were in the process of make the Jesus myth into history and one element was the title of Son of God. So they had Jesus born of a virgin to explain what that title was all about.

Notice that Paul and Hebrew's "Son of God" is mythical in nature while the Gospels's version is historical.
