Hello,

I'm new here, even though I set up a forum account quite awhile ago. I've been an atheist(ex-catholic) for most of my adult life, but each year I've found myself getting more and more angry about separation of church and state issues. I came here out of my deep need for sane viewpoints, but I've also reached the point where I need to contribute to the fight somehow.

I've been thinking about joining/donating to American Atheists. Does anyone have an opinion to share on that organization? Would my money be better donated elsewhere?

Thanks for any input,(and I hope this was the right place to ask this question.)

Have you looked into The Secular Coalition for America (http://www.secular.org)? It's an coalition of several godless organizations, including the Internet Infidels, whose goal is to get a professional lobbyist in DC. Lobbying is IMO the best chance we have to make a difference in the short to medium run.

THOUGHTfully Yours,
Clark
